Mi erano giunte indiscrezioni in proposito all'inizio della settimana, ma ho appena ricevuto la comunicazione ufficiale: Donna č stata nominata per l'ingresso nella Rock & Roll Hal Of Fame del 2010!
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame announced its list of induction nominees a veritable big tent including pop, rap and disco.
The list of nominees covers the past five decades of music and encompasses bands and artists representing everything from rock to pop, reggae to rap, plus songwriting and vocal excellence.
The 1950s vocal group The Chantels made the list. So did singer/songwriter Laura Nyro, rapper LL Cool J, arena-rockers KISS, and 70s chart toppers ABBA. Genesis, Donna Summer, Jimmy Cliff, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Hollies, Darlene Love and The Stooges also made the grade.
E quello che segue č il paragrafo del comunicato stampa ufficiale dedicato a Donna (erroraccio compreso):
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation Announces Nominees for 2010 Induction
DONNA SUMMER
Raised in the church, rooted in gospel, LaDonna Andrea Gaines would become Donna Summer, the undisputed Queen of Disco. In 1975, Love To Love You Baby began a long-term association with Munich-based songwriters and producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. Summer made history from 1979-1980 as the only artist ever to have three consecutive multi disc albums all hit #1: Live and More, Bad Girls and On The Radio. Her first U.S. recorded LP, the self-titled Donna Summer, produced by Quincy Jones in 1982 featured Bruce Springsteen and other notable rock contributors. She Works Hard For The Money kept Summer at the top of the charts in 1983, followed by the top 10 hit This Time I Know Its Real in 1989. Endless covers and sampling of her music proves that Summers contribution remains compelling and classic.
scusa Seba, l'ho letto veloce, ma che erroraccio ? CMQ SPERIAMO BENE, la minaccia Abba mi fa sperare poco ed due sconfitte non si possono sopportare...
